Great Western Cricket Club formally known as BRSA Cricket Club formed in 1983 and are currently two sides playing in the Welsh Club Cricket Conference in South East Wales. Our 1st team in Division 2 (1st XI) and our 2nd team in Division 3 (2nd XI). Our club is based at the Great Western Railway Club on Coity Road, Bridgend and we play our home games at Newbridge Fields, Bridgend.
Where we play
We currently play at Newbridge Fields, Bridgend alongside Bridgend Town Cricket Club and our changing facilities are by the Bridgend Recreation Centre, at Bridgend Athletic Running Club, (this is located the other side of the river from our pitch, which is a short 2 to 3 minute walk to the pitch across a bridge).
Directions for ground and changing facilities
BELOW are directions to get to Bridgend Recreation Centre from Junction 35 of M4
• head southwest on Coychurch Rd toward Hafod Las
• at roundabout 1st left to stay on Coychurch Rd
• at next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A473 passed B&Q on left
• at next roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A473
• follow road passed Tesco on Left under bridge
• pass Bridgend College on left also through light at Cross Junction and take 2nd left
• take left at Rice St
• turn left at Sunnyside Rd - ahead of you is the recreation centre where you can park (Please note this is a paying car park)
• to the right you will see an athletics running track where we have our new changing facilities.
• alternativley there are streets around this area you can park on that are free of charge, but be carefull of the yellow lines.

Directions for Great Western Club from Newbridge Fields
BELOW are directions to get to Great Western Club on Coity Road from Newbridge Fields
• from the recreation centre can park drive back up Sunnyside Rd and turn right onto Rice Street
• Join A473 dual carriageway and follow through tafffic lights and turn Right 2nd exit at Roundabout
• Join A4061 and follow past Tesco on your left and bus station on your right through traffic lights but stay in left hand lane
• Turn left at next traffic lights onto Coity Road where 200 meters up the road on left hand side will be the Great Western Club
